The internet’s newest (and possibly strangest) attempt at radical transparency in campaigning.

My fellow Alaskans,

Over the years, especially as Mayor, I’ve heard plenty of criticism.

Some of it fair. Some of it… creative.

Instead of ignoring it or pretending it doesn’t exist, I decided to do something different. I opened the door.

This is you, the voters’, forum to ask the uncomfortable questions, share the rumors you’ve heard, voice frustrations, crack a joke, or offer sincere feedback. All of it is welcome.

I will respond publicly to as many submissions as possible through videos and podcasts, reading them straight up, no filter. Think less talking points and more honest conversation. If it reminds you a little of those late-night “mean tweets”, that’s not an accident.

This isn’t about attacking anyone, and it’s definitely not about pretending everyone agrees. It’s about having the conversation out in the open, with respect for people across the political spectrum.

So go ahead. Say the thing.
